Reviews
Stu - After last week’s smackdown with The Hulk, yet more people with green skin make an appearance on the show, with the Skrulls making their debut on their show after being mentioned in the premiere. That episode and the end of this one foretell that something big is coming from the show between The Kree and The Skrulls, and the foreshadowing to Super Skrull is present at the episode’s conclusion. I loved seeing hints dropped like this; it gets me really pumped up to see the future episodes. I didn’t see Ronan turning traitor coming either!

Whilst I think I enjoyed last week’s episode a little more, this episode is undoubtedly the funniest we’ve had some far, with some absolutely brilliant one-liners from Johnny and some great jokes from the rest of the team. I especially loved Reed’s conversation with the elderly neighbour about how they met on the moon and she took the famed ‘flying bathtub’ out. It’s obvious the people behind this show are complete and utter geeks and aren’t afraid of showing it.

There was so much hilarious stuff going on in the show I struggling to pick out what I liked best. H.E.R.B.I.E. speaking Spanish, Ben and H.E.R.B.I.E’s game of ping pong, Reed’s conversation with the old lady or Johnny’s endless quips, they all deserve mentioning. The Skrulls themselves came across quite well – they really seemed to be focusing on the comedy in this episode and no doubt we’ll see them developed a little more the next time we see them. Oddly enough in the fight scene, they started playing music eerily similar to that of the first season of The Fantastic Four from The Marvel Action Hour. Thankfully, The Skrulls were handled a lot better here, and this episode isn’t a complete embarrassment like that one. Monster movie footage indeed…

Overall, a really fun, humorous episode that’s really got me excited to see more. This show hasn’t disappointed yet!
