Like an older brother, Eddie shares many childhood memories with Peter – including the death of his parents in the same plane crash that took Peter's parents. Eddie is smart and athletic, but his reckless behavior and pessimism makes him vulnerable to Peter's rejected symbiote costume. The alien gave the now corrupted Brock all of Peter's spider-powers and knowledge of his secret identity. Together they became Venom, Spider-Man malicious adversary.
