Whistler acts as a mentor to Blade. He took Blade in when he was only a child and taught him how to kill vampires.
Using his advanced skills, he created several of Blades weapons to aid him in killing vampires. Although he was
physically unable to fight them himself due to health problems, he was a great ally to Blade.
He also helped Black Cat in curing Michael Morbius, but could not develop a perfect solution. Spider-Man often sought
Whistlers help when fighting vampires, rather than dealing Blade, who has less than admirable social skills.
