Episode #13 - Destiny Unleashed Directed By: Patrick Archibald Review: My God, what a crap finale. The High Evolutionary decides he’s had enough of humans. Fair do’s, he’s been stating his dislike for people since the beginning. The rest of the episode, however, is simply exactly the same as we’ve seen in the previous 13 episodes, before a random cliffhanger suddenly emerges from out of nowhere, never to be resolved. It’s interesting to note the episode is called “Destiny Unleashed” and not “Destiny Unleashed, Part One” like it was originally slated to be, but to be blunt, the cliffhanger was so poorly done I really don’t that it never got resolved. The whole synoptic storyline was never explained, and never really made much sense. Overall, the series isn’t terrible like I originally thought it was back when I first laid eyes upon it. The truth however, is that it is a bad show. It’s drivel, pure and simple. It deserves the endless bashing it receives online, and after watching the series in its entirety, I have full confidence in saying that it’s the worst version of Spider-Man I’ve ever seen. It’s screws him up so badly, it’s a shame, as it seems they were trying to make him more like his normal, comic book self, but where unable to do so because he was stuck on an alien planet. If you’re thinking of tracking the series down to see what it’s like, my suggestion is that you don’t bother. It’s not worth the time. One of the biggest joys I get from this series is that now I’ve done this site, I never, ever have to watch it again. Watching this just makes me wish we got more of Spider-Man: The Animated Series. Good riddance to Spider-Man Unlimited, I say. Screenshots: |
