Review by Jeff Harris

Tremendous two-parter, and I'm glad they did this as a Halloween special. A team of Marvel monsters is a great idea and I honestly wouldn't mind a series of a group of characters like this as unlikely as it is. You have a colorful cast, a hotshot loner in Blade, and the idea that the monsters themselves are kind of like outcasts among the other heroes, fighting for acceptance for a world used to spandex heroes.

The show does a great job of giving us a humorous Spider-Man and his wise-cracking personality. Spider-Man's line about the S.H.I.E.L.D. manual was perfectly Spider-Man. And Spidey finding common ground with the commandos by sentimentally comparing their infighting to him and Nova was good. It shows that while Spidey and his team bicker, they are a good team and it's not malicious. They are friends now and they have become a strong team. Another case in point how in part 1 Nova followed Spidey's orders, which wasn't happening earlier in the show.

A good two-part episode!
