The former fiancé of Charles Xavier, she left Charles whilst he was in the service, and she became pregnant to another man. Whilst the blow crushed Charles, the two remained great friends.
Moira runs her own mutant research centre in Muir Island, Scotland. She set up the centre in order to help her son Kevin, a mutant who had the power to alter the reality around him. She hoped that she could teach Kevin to use his powers so that he could later instigate into society without causing pain to others.
