Bios - Betty Ross Voiced by: Nan McNamara First Appearance: Ultimate Avengers: The Movie Top S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist Betty Ross and her team are left puzzled as they examine the brittle remains of the Chitari's past attack on S.H.I.E.L.D. Betty visits the imprisoned Bruce Banner to inform him that even after the Hulk's rampage, the Chitari are still loose on the Earth, and that she and her team are busy analyzing the Chitari wreckage. Betty runs various tests on a block of Vibranium that was found at the center of each Chitari ship, which she suspects is a power source of some sort for the aliens. Betty again visits Bruce Banner for his consultation, after being informed that Banner had some urgent news for her. Analyzing video of the Hulk's attack on the Chitari, Banner points out that the brittle parts of the Chitari points may be the same ones the Hulk struck with his Gamma radiated strength. Betty then realizes that Gamma radiation may be the key to inflicting damage upon the Chitari's otherwise invulnerable defenses. While Betty leaves with new found knowledge from Banner, she is unable to release Banner from his imprisonment. Betty develops a weapon that leaves Chitari material brittle with the knowledge gleened from Banner. She and the Wasp battle through a Chitari attack at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters only to find Bruce Banner dying from a deadly dose of gas in his holding cell. She watches helplessly as Banner dies from the effects of the gas. She and Wasp then travel to Wakanda to assist the Avengers in their final battle against the Chitari. Once there, she arms Iron Man with her Gamma generator weapon and instructs him on how to disable the Chitari mothership, which results in the Chitari's ultimate defeat. Betty and the rest of the Avengers return to S.H.I.E.L.D., where unbeknownst to them, the Hulk waits in shadow high above them to catch once last glance of Betty before leaping away in the distance. Betty revisits Banner's cell to find that Bruce's body is gone, and that his cell is now covered with wreckage from what was obviously the Hulk's, and ultimately, Banner's escape. Back to Bios
