Episode #7 - Captued By J. Jonah Jameson

Spider-Man is presued by a robot that can out-match him in everyway! With J. Jonah Jameson in control of the robot, how long can Spidey last?

Review:

Another odd episode of Spider-Man, Captured By J. Jonah Jameson, featuring the very first Spider Slayer robot in all its animated goofiness. The comic this episode was based on was also ludicrously cheesy, which was actually worse here.

I think the major downfall of the episode is the fact that the robot looks a little too harmless, making it difficult to swallow the threat the writing was trying to create. I’m aware this may be the cheapest show in history, but none of the designs were truly atrocious, in this season anyway, which is more than I can say for a lot of the big budget cartoons of today, most of which feature really stupid or bland designs. Both in most cases, unfortunately.

I think the biggest blunder was the machine’s hands. I couldn’t help but laugh, and not the way this show usually cracks me up. I’ve never asked much from this show, and I know there’s a lot of Spider-Man fans that absolutely loath the show, but I’m not among them.

One of Spidey’s worst, unfortunately. Laughably bad at best despite an amazing performance from J. Jonah Jameson.
