Episode #36 - Double Identity

Spider-Man is framed and must prove his innocence before the entire city turns against the wallcrawler!

Review:

This show is often dissed because it repeats a lot of the same sequences each and every week. Now, I love the visuals in this show. Theyre so incredibly cheesy, but theyve got their charm to them. They fit the tone of the show perfectly, and sometimes, simplicity is all you need. I have always loved the backgrounds to this show for example.

If you look a little closer, youll find a lot of the plots are the same too. Spider-Man is framed nearly every week, Jameson demands the police arrest him, Spider-Man proves his innocence and Jameson is made to look like a fool, Spidey swings away. Find me one episode that doesnt have at least one of those plot points in this episode, and Ill show my arse to the Queen.

Amusing scene in which Spider-Man attempts to pull Jamesons moustache off, this is mainly an action episode, and its a pretty good one. By this shows standards, the Spider-Man vs. Spider-Man fight is well staged, and theres even a dramatic scene before one of the ad breaks in which I genuinely though Spider-Man had been shot. It turned out he missed, but it was a very well done scene. Overall, a very enjoyable episode.
