The Beyonder called on Dr. Doom to represent evil in The Secret Wars. Instead of battling for the land, Doom created
New Latveria, a paradise for the citizens of the alien planet.
Doom used the superior alien technology to create a matter separator, in order to make it so The Thing could change
back into Ben Grimm. After The Thing told him why they were all placed on the alien planet, he used the device to steal
The Beyonder’s powers and make his very thoughts reality.
After ridding the planet of all the other villains, he fought the heroes and in the tussle, The Thing separated The
Beyonder from him, causing Doom to lose his powers and The Secret War.
