Believing Spider-Man to be a menace, The Green Goblin attacked him before realising that he was a hero, after saving Yioko and her son Shane from Venom and Carnage, who were attempting to merge her with the synoptic.
It is believed he is actually her Ex-Husband, making him Shane�s Father. He grew concerned with Peter Parker living with them, and attacked him. He placed cameras in The Basement and later discovered Peter Parker and Spider-Man were one and the same! They later but their differences aside to stop one of The High Evolutionary�s plans, and he was believed to be killed in an explosion.
It was later revealed that this wasn�t true, and he returned to help Spider-Man and the rebels battle The High Evolutionary one last time.
