Episode #31 - The Phoenix Saga Part Three, Cry Of The Banshe Music Composed By: Shuki Levy Animation Services By: AKOM Guest Starring: Lawrence Bayne as Erik the Redd, Rick Bennett as Juggernaut, Lally Cadeau as Dr. Moira McTaggart Jeremy Ratchford as Banshee, Camilla Scott as Lilandra Review: Following where the last episode left off, Juggernaut and Xavier have a terrific Mind fight, which had some great visuals behind it. They were relatively simple, but since this is AKOM we’re dealing with, it was the right decision to make.This episode spends a lot of time with Banshee and his brother Black Tom. Whilst they don’t feel out of place here, Banshee is one of the weaker guest stars. There’s nothing wrong with him that is easy to identify, but compared to the likes of Colossus, Angel and Nightcrawler, he’s simply not as entertaining. He’d appear again later in the show, and came across pretty much the same. Juggernaut however, is as great as ever, and proves to be a very good plot point in the episode. I thought his partnership with Black Tom was a stroke of genius, and Juggernaut’s “fight” with Gladiator was truly a site to behold! I couldn’t believe it when I first saw it. The Big Red S rip-off had a very cool introduction, with the big red fists flying from space, through the clouds and finally smacking Juggernaut several miles into the ocean. It all went downhill from there, but man, it was an awesome opening for him. Unfortunately, it all goes down from there. D’Ken was almost an embarrassment of a villain, and took away from what should’ve been the main bulk of the story – Phoenix.
