Review:
With nearly every episode having a short section take place in the Savage Land this season, it’s not too much of a surprise to find that’s where the story gets moving.
The X-Men finally learn where the Professor is, and we get to see the end of Morph/Sinister saga. I couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed by this finale. They’re not bad episodes, but I could’ve done without Kazar, and we had such a good build up going in, this had to be really special not to disappoint.
I think Sinister was a great villain, so it was good to see him get a good send off. The laser vs laser was a bit cheesy, but it wasn’t laughably bad.
Undoubtedly my favourite part of the episode is the ending, in which Magneto and Xavier say their goodbyes. I think this series nailed Magneto and Xavier’s relationship as good enemies, better friends. I like that they could never outright hate each other. The final shot of Magneto slowly floating away smiling was a great way to end the season.
Not bad, not brilliant, overall.
