 Marvel Comics began publishing the X-Men: Evolution comic series starting January 2002. The series ran for nine issues before being cancelled due to both low sales and Marvel's increasingly aggressive tactics in cancelling low-selling titles. The 10th issue, set to include an apperance by Mr. Sinister, was soliciated but then quickly cancelled and never published.
