Sure, it helps that Thor guest-starred, and he is one of my favorite Marvel super heroes and I was looking forward to this episode for a while. I kind of liked Thor as a frog, though some of the jokes that followed his transformation were pretty corny (and I believe even Spidey said so at one point). The cut-scenes didn't affect the story that much this time, but the one about seeing Nova getting hit again in slow-motion was a little annoying. Other than that, the episode was a good enough adventure featuring Spidey and his team. Really, the only complaint I have about this episode was that the characters were still arguing about who is the leader of the team. The action scenes were good, with the super heroes fighting Loki's frost giants. The frost giants had a pretty bland design though. The same can be said about Thor and Loki; nothing really stood out about them. At least their voice actors did a good job voicing them. Too bad we didn't get to see more of Odin in this episode, or even the Enchantress. But I guess that adding them would have made the episode too crowded. The story couldn't have suffered though; I think it would have lead to less cut-scenes. I guess the funniest parts to me were Thor referring to Agent Coulson as "Son of Coul" and Spidey as "Man of Spider". Not sure why, but I thought that was funny. Also liked how Spidey managed to trick the God of Tricksters, Loki. Though I thought it would have been better without Spidey's "can't believe you fell for that" line which followed. And the message that kids should pay attention in school was a little weird, coming from this show. And why was Spidey so happy to see a two-headed goat?
Plus we got to see Eitri the Dwarf King. He was probably the best thing about this episode, though the jokes about him being "Dopey" and "Grumpy" weren't really that funny. Giving the heroes magical weapons was a little silly especially seeing as they will most likely never use them again on the show. And his speech about Spidey was pretty awesome, but the moment was pretty much ruined by Spidey breaking the fourth wall saying that being a main character is hard. Overall, this was a pretty good episode, and not only because of the guest-star. I hope the next episodes will be at least this entertaining.
