Squirrel Girl was fun during the opener, she certainly fits well with the tone this series is going with. I thought Spider-Man was a little harsh, considering that his friend the Hulk regularly causes that much damage walking down the street. Speaking of the Hulk, it was kinda weird seeing Amadeus Cho without either the Hulk or Hercules. The show did a pretty good job introducing him and setting him up as a hero, but I thought his hatred of Spider-Man just felt arbitrary and forced. It's especially weird since he debuted as a stalwart Hulk supporter. I think there was already enough organic conflict between Peter and Amadeus, anyway.
Having the Iron Spider on display in an ordinary high school without any security precautions? I'm glad Stan Lee pointed out how crazy that was because the school attracts enough supervillains as is.
Fight choreography was great in this episode. It's almost up there with The Spectacular Spider-Man at this point. Hopefully, the revelation that Taskmaster has his own list of potential powered teens will help our heroes learn that they can't afford to be choosey when it comes to recruiting teen heroes.
