A strange inter dimensional being of immense power, Madame Web took Spider-Man and attempted to make a warrior out of him,
preparing him for a time that he would face “A horror beyond belief.” When Spider-Man struggled to catch the criminals
or put the clues together, Web would point him in the right direction in order to educate him for the battle she
was preparing him for.
She and her master, The Beyonder created the
Secret War in order to test Spider-Man’s leadership skills for the upcoming Spider Wars in which he led 6 alternate
reality versions of himself.
After saving all reality, Madame Web eventually introduced Spider-Man to Stan Lee and then apparently reunited Spidey
with his long lost love, Mary Jane.
