Hoping to become all-powerful, Dr. Doom used the power of two mystical amulets that he believed would grant him the power of turning his thoughts into reality.
When Spider-Man stumbled onto Doom�s plot, he stopped him, and an elderly gentleman by the name of Mr. Frump whom Doom later attempted to befriend in hopes of getting him to follow Doom�s wishes.
Dr. Doom and the Spider-Friends teamed up in order to retrieve the amulets from Frump and succeeded before Doom escaped.
