Nick Fury is the head of SHIELD, a top-secret peace keeping group designed to �keep the world in one piece�.
Spider-Man first encountered Nick Fury when Peter Parker and J. Jonah Jameson were abducted, when Fury needed Jameson�s
help to catch The Chameleon.
They met several times again afterwards, when The Cat was abducted from SHIELD�s prison, and when Electro took control
of New York City�s power supply. Electro eventually toppled SHIELD, and Spider-Man and Nick Fury never crossed paths
again.
Nick Fury was one of the only other crime fighters that was appreciative of Spider-Man�s efforts.
